Meet Shirley

She believes leadership potential means little without the discipline to act on it.

Shirley Ellis has spent more than a decade leading enterprise programs inside highly regulated industries, where the margin error is thin and the path forward is often ambiguous. As a PMP-Certified Project Manager, she led cross-functional teams, aligned stakeholders with competing interests around shared vision, and carried critical initiatives, each with significant business implications, through to completion.

Along the way, she noticed two things that training programs kept missing; increased knowledge rarely translated into organizations success, and one-size-fits all content seldom reflected the realities leaders faced.

That insight led her to found Intentional Impact, LLC, a leadership development firm built on one idea; knowledge lays the groundwork, but decisive behavior is what carries it into practice. She helps professionals convert what they know into how they operate, so the investment organizations make in their workforce shows up where it matters most, in how those people lead.

Outside of work, Shirley cherishes time with family and friends, enjoys being the one who makes them laugh, and never turns down a good series or time with her pup.

SHIRLEY'S LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY

The Discipline of Decisive Leadership

At its core, decisive leadership begins with a decision, then becomes a discipline, shaped through repetition until it holds across a team. Leaders act instead of waiting to be told. They give direction instead of leaving room for guesswork. They treat challenges as opportunities to strengthen their capability. They stay focused on results, not just the task in front of them. That discipline is what turns one leader's decision into a competitive advantage the entire organization can count on.

Without a shared standard, teams learn to wait rather than act. What gets decided in the meeting doesn't make it out the door. High performers grow frustrated watching decisions stall, and trust weakens when what leadership says and what the organization experiences don't match.

That standard changes more than one leader's output. Culture shifts from hesitation to ownership. Performance strengthens, because more initiatives reach the finish line. And credibility grows, strengthening the organization's brand and building trust with the customers it serves.

This is the blueprint behind every keynote, workshop, and coaching engagement Shirley delivers.

GREAT STRATEGY  WITHOUT DISCIPLINED EXECUTION IS JUST WISHFUL THINKING."
